A conventional flat-panel TV with a regular lamp as the backlight is on the left. The brighter screen uses LEDs. Yes, Lumileds set up the test so, naturally, the LEDs look good, but there is a difference. TV manufacturers are beginning to insert LEDs into high-end TVs.
