Joseph Bachmann and F-35

In one incarnation or other, the next-generation F-35 Lightning II has been in flight testing since late 2006, and the U.S. Air Force is expected to take initial deliveries of production versions in the next year or so. This is Marine Corps Maj. Joseph Bachmann, a developmental test pilot for the Lockheed Martin-built supersonic strike fighter, in front of the F-35 AA-1 after a flight in March 2009.
