Friday evening, during the first full day of the construction, the moving of the old section of the bridge is completed in about two hours. Seen here on the left side, the chunk of old bridge is being moved onto a platform where it will later be lowered then deconstructed. Before the new section is put into place the next day, a 300-foot gap remains.
