Temporary workers

Enormous sections of steel lie in wait. Their job comes later in the bridge building process, but only lasts for a short time. The Left Coast Lifter will be taking these sections out to hold the new roadbed as it's being built. They'll later be removed once the suspension cables are in place and fully supporting the new road. In the meantime, dozens of these sections are strewn about West Oakland's docks and loaded onto barges to be pulled out toward the new bridge construction.
