Ugobe Pleo

The much-hyped $349 Pleo robot became an endangered species before it had much of a commercial life. Its maker, Ugobe, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection in April.

Ugobe's goal had been to get the emotive dinobot out into stores in time for the 2007 holiday season, and at a lower price, but was a year late and up against a miserable economy.
