Apple has created an automatic backup feature in Leopard called Time Machine. Time Machine allows Mac users to set priorities and preferences to automatically back up important files like spreadsheets, presentations or photos, which only 4 percent of Mac users currently do, Forstall said. The interface for Time Machine drew a lot of appreciative noises from the crowd of 4,200 at San Francisco's Moscone Center. As users scroll back through "time" in order to find the last saved instance of a file, it looks like they are flying into a black hole.
