Seagate Technology's new Momentus 5400.3 hard drive, designed for notebooks, uses perpendicular recording technology to squeeze more storage on a 2.5-inch disc. Capacity jumps to 160GB, good enough to hold 40,000 songs or almost 3 hours of high-definition video.
