At Nintendo's annual fall media event on Thursday in San Francisco, Reggie Fils-Aime, chief operating officer of Nintendo of America, holds up a DS-i, the new handheld device the company will soon release in Japan. While interest in the device, which includes two cameras and the ability to play digital music, is high, Nintendo said it will not release the DS-i in North American until well into 2009 because it wants to continue selling the very popular DS Lite here.
