A gamer sets up his equipment at Nvidia's GeForce LAN 4 party in Alameda, Calif., Friday. The graphics chipmaker is hosting a weekend-long party to celebrate the release of Electronic Arts' first-person shooter Crysis, and gamers from around the area plan to spend all weekend in a desolate Navy surplus warehouse competing for prizes and respect.
The event at the Area 51 Events Center also included a look at the state of the PC gaming industry, and Nvidia unveiled a new graphics processor for notebooks.
