Long lines formed before dawn in miserable weather at Shinjuku's Yodobashi Camera for a crack at buying the first edition of Sony's PlayStation 3.
Gamers lined up at midnight Friday to get a ticket that would guarantee them a unit the next day. Those who missed out lined up Saturday morning for a raffle for an outside chance at one of the first consoles.
The strong interest showed that gamers weren't daunted by the higher price tag of the PlayStation 3--compared to Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Nintendo's Wii.
