The instant fame put little Psystar in the middle of big controversy. Perhaps not realizing the immense interest, the company's Web site crashed several times during the week; it changed its address more than once (explaining that one change was a mistake); it lost its marchant gateway apparently due to the large number of orders; and there are lingering questions about whether it violates Apple's EULA for its operating system.
It appears that the original name of the Open Computer may have been the OpenMac as there were numerous references to that name on Psystar's Web site.
For a size comparison, the Open Computer is on the left, next to a Dell Dimension C521.
