CNET Networks site TechRepublic runs a regular series called "Cracking Open," in which it takes a look inside a variety of gadgets. CNET News is publishing this excerpt of a photo gallery that takes apart the Classmate 2GoPC.

The Classmate 2GoPC from CTL is an ultraportable laptop computer designed to be used by students in elementary and secondary school. It is a rugged PC running Windows XP on a platform with 512MB of RAM, a 60GB hard drive, and an Intel Celeron M processor. The 2GoPC's ruggedness gets put to the test in this TechRepublic Cracking Open photo gallery.
