The good: Highly accurate primary colors and color temperature; numerous picture controls and settings; solid connectivity including four HDMI inputs and one PC input; friendly, intuitive menu design; sleek styling.
The bad: Black levels not quite as deep as those of the best plasmas; confusing picture mode arrangement; red coloring may not appeal to everyone.
The bottom line: Although its black levels aren't the deepest, accurate color and a red frame still distinguish the Samsung PN50A650 from the pack.
