8. 2008 Nissan Rogue
Editors' rating: 6.8
The good: Manual selection mode on the 2008 Nissan Rogue's continuously variable transmission works remarkably well. The stereo plays MP3 CDs and offers a decent interface.
The bad: The engine feels underpowered for a car this big without making it up in stellar fuel economy. Bluetooth is offered only in the all-wheel-drive version, while navigation isn't available. The premium audio system produces only average audio quality.
The bottom line: The 2008 Nissan Rogue doesn't rate highly as a tech car due to its lack of any major cabin gadgets, but we like its general usability and its continuously variable transmission.
