At the top of the line is the TomTom GO 920T, which sells for $500. Pogue says its3D display is the most elegant available, "with the smoothest animation and smartest layout."
Pogue also touts a light sensor that dims the screen at night; a speed sensor that tracks your place even in tunnels; an audio sensor that cranks the voice volume when the road gets loud; the helpful speech recognition; and TomTom's map-sharing program that lets you update your receiver's maps with errors and updates reported by other customers.
