Photos: The Big Apple's new big Apple (store)

Apple's Johnson said the Genius Bar at the new store, pictured here, can service a total of 100 customers per hour. In total, the new Apple store employs 175 people (not all of them Geniuses), one-third of whom were already working at one of the other two Manhattan Apple stores on Prince Street in SoHo or on Fifth Avenue in Midtown.
