1. Anything holiday-themed
So you've picked out a set of solar-powered Christmas tree lights, a Hanukkah-theme iPod skin, a $1,500 outdoor-lights display shaped like Santa Claus driving a golf cart (pictured), or some other gift that you think ties in nicely to the holiday season.
Well, guess what? By the time that the special someone opens the gift, the holidays are just about over! That is, unless your friend receiving the gift is one of those wackos who puts out Christmas decorations on December 26 and leaves them up through July...and if that's the case, we think that you have weird friends.
