The Ceatec Japan 2007 consumer electronics and IT trade show took place this week, and CNET News.com editor Michael Kanellos was there to capture all the latest tech.
Here's Makoto Yoshimura, senior staff engineer at JVC. He invented the 4K movie camera shown here. JVC is putting more emphasis on 4K cameras (for professionals) and projectors (for businesses and extreme home cinema buffs). 4K means that the screen has 4,096 x 2,400 pixels, or roughly 10 million, far more than the 2 million on conventional high-def TVs.
