Make magazine's Maker Faire, which was held Saturday and Sunday in San Mateo, Calif., brought together artists, roboticists, game makers, engineers and inventors to show off their latest hacked devices and artistic creations. Attendees were treated to displays on everything from how to bring a bit of the Star Wars universe into this world to how to make product prototypes easier to build at home.

Here, a Lego Star Destroyer draws the attention of builders inside the craft pavilion. In order to own a small piece of the Empire, an industrious builder just needs to follow the hundreds of pages of technical directions to properly assemble the thousands of building blocks.
