Cakes

As part of their television-themed wedding, Tina and Andy Szeto worked with Debbie Does Cakes, in Oakland, Calif., to create a culinary homage to their favorite DVR. His and her TiVo character cakes, pictured here, were the result. Initially, Andy wanted the cake to be in the shape of a TiVo set-top box, and it was Tina's idea to go with the TiVo characters instead.

But there was one difficult decision still to make at the reception--which cake to cut first?

"We rallied the crowd," Tina said. "Do we cut the bride or the groom?" The crowd chose the groom, a chocolate cake with cream cheese filling. The TiVo woman was a vanilla cake with peanut butter filling.
