A researcher demonstrates how to take advantage of steganography, wherein hidden information is embedded inside images and is imperceptible to the human eye. Taking a photo of an image using a phone with Fujitsu's software will read the data and bring up a Web site, video, advertisement or additional information about the picture. The technology is currently deployed in Japan as part of a partnership between Fujitsu and the country's largest mobile operator, NTT DoCoMo.
