Though the CEA predicts CRT TVs will no longer be sold in the United States past 2009, tube TVs are still a significant portion of the television market for now. Samsung, for instance, continues to invest in and improve CRT technology. The TX-T3093WH was introduced at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show, sporting a slimmer body, a wide, flat screen, sidemounted speakers and USB and HDMI inputs. It is set for release in April at $699.
