Canon's 7.1 megapixel PowerShot TX1 gets close up with a 10x optical zoom lens (39mm-390mm equivalent) coupled with a new advanced optical image stabilization feature to reduce the blurring effects of long-range zoom.
The camera includes an upgraded face-detection feature to detect, lock on and track multiple human faces in a scene. It automatically prioritizes and selects faces to optimize the focus, exposure and flash--and works for movies, too. The TX1 also records wide-screen 720p HD movies.
This digital camera is expected to hit stores in March with a price tag of $499.
