Remember this guy? The Razr isn't Motorola's first hit, by any means. The StarTAC model debuted in 1996 and won an Industrial Design Excellence Award from the Industrial Designers Society of America for the first clamshell phone. It looks rather unimpressive today, but a decade ago, it was way ahead of the competition.
