Photos: Cell phone style, good and bad

No surprises here. The designers interviewed by CNET News.com are gaga over Apple's iPhone. While they all praised Apple's design concepts in general, a few were even more blown away by the iPod/cell phone combo's announced interface. The design "is probably not as amazing as I think it could be, but the user interface is," said Gregor Mittersinker, design director for design consulting firm Altitude.

The iPhone "isn't as sleek as the (iPod) Nano or as sharp as the PowerBook, but it's just like they intentionally made the screen as big as possible for the user interface."
