Apple Computer iPods ruled the 2006 holiday season as the bestselling item in the electronics category on Amazon.com, according to the online retailer's sales statistics. The 30GB iPod video (5th generation) was the top electronics item on Amazon wish lists. It was also the most frequently purchased gift item in the category.
Amazon.com was ranked as the No. 1 online retailer in terms of dollars spent for the 2006 holiday season (excluding auctions and large corporate purchases), according to comScore Networks.
