Hundreds of people, some in line for more than 24 hours, were bundled up outside the Metreon in San Francisco waiting to buy one of the first Sony PlayStation 3 consoles. Many packed blankets, fold-up chairs, radios, decks of cards, magazines and even a chessboard to busy themselves until the doors open at midnight Thursday. Despite dark skies, only a few raindrops fell Thursday morning.
