Instead of a single-screen tablet, the Courier concept is a dual-screen "booklet."

Once again, Microsoft misses the mark. Where would I use such a thing? Not in a cab, or on the go. How would I hold a two page tablet with one hand and tap or otherwise use a stylus with the other. It has to be on a table. And if I'm already at a table, might as well open my laptop. And if it doesn't do email, where do I put all this when my phone buzzes to tell me I got an email? Does Microsoft even employ user experience designers? Maybe that's why they never made their own computer... They know they suck at it.

I was small enough to hold, also you could open it all the way around, so that you could write on just one side of it. I actually got to see a demo of it once...and it was way cool. I really wanted one. I would have never had to carry another moleskin.

I don't agree with you. I think that if it would have been released it could have competed with the iPad. This was a major mistake on part of Microsoft and their precious Windows OS. Now they're playing catchup and don't look like inovators anymore, instead like they are copying someone elses technology. This is why companies split up. The market needs Microsoft to split inito three of four companies.

"It's in our DNA to develop new form factors and natural user interfaces to foster productivity and creativity"

What a joke, I use windows and I fight everyday with an OS that wants to take over and be the star. Popups, alerts, forced restarts. bahhh

Brilliant design and perfect for a person in business, could even be used in presentations so both individuals could see graphs and stats at the same time. This is definitely the future and hopefully Microsoft will give it a rethink. Better than some clumsy devices out on the market at the moment which are easily damaged..Laptops also have their limits.

I have no interest in an iPad but I would have been very interested in this.

No joke, I was just thinking today about how I would love a digital version of a standard notebook, so i could search and reorganize my ever-accumulating notes for work.

And here it is!

I still don't know about the whole pen on screen experience though. If it's like anything else I've ever tried, I can't stand that nasty slippery feeling, but maybe Microsoft can improve this and change my mind.
