Photos: Hitachi, Panasonic DVD tech

Design prototypes for future Hitachi camcorders are on display this week at the Ceatec trade fair in Makuhari, near Tokyo. The device on the right will have a Blu-ray disc in it. The one that looks like a shaver, on the left, is designed to have flash memory. Several manufacturers want to bring cheaper models (priced at $1,000 or less) to the market next year.
