Photos: Canon's HD camcorders

Canon has unveiled two new high-definition camcorders--the XH A1 and, shown here, the XH G1. Both offer adjustable frame rates for changing the look and feel of the captured HD video. The 30-frame rate is intended for high-speed sports action and other high-clarity video, the 24-frame rate for a "film" look, and a 60i setting (with a frame rate of one 60th of a second) for reality TV or YouTube-type image quality.
