Photos: Nokia, Navteq team up as traffic monitors

The GPS receiver and a camera array sit on top of the vehicle. Data from the GPS receiver is used to map new locations or update changes to existing maps. The camera array is used to take pictures of street signs or speed limit signs along the road. And it's used as part of Navteq's mapping service.
