Verizon Wireless is finally offering its version of the popular BlackBerry Pearl. Unlike models sold by AT&T or T-Mobile, Verizon's version will work over its 3G network, which means faster Web surfing and e-mailing, Verizon Wireless executives said.
The BlackBerry Pearl is geared toward professionals who also want to use their phones outside the office to stay connected with friends and family. The device sports an HTML browser, e-mail, messaging, calendaring functionality and a 2-megapixel camera.
BlackBerry Pearl users on Verizon Wireless' network also will be able to use Verizon's VZ Navigator application that allows subscribers to get mapping, audible turn-by-turn navigation and access to information on more than 14 million points of interest.
