Windows Live Web Activities

Microsoft has made a series of tweaks to its Windows Live services to give them a more social-networking flavor.

The idea is that users of Windows Live's IM and e-mail services will be able to see what their contacts are up to across the Web. Microsoft has a number of early partners, though some of the biggest names in social networking haven't publicly announced they are on board.
