When the power's out and batteries run low, you can either light a candle or rely on muscle power. If you try the hand-cranked route, LED flashlights are a better option because they usually consume less power than those that use traditional incandescent bulbs. Check out the Dynamo Spotlight on ThinkGeek.com, which is $35 and comes with an AC adapter and a DC adapter for cars. ThinkGeek also carries the Forever Flashlight, which recharges its capacitor when shaken. Shake the light for 30 seconds and its LED will produce light for about five minutes.
