Photos: Remembering Arthur C. Clarke

In 1956, Clarke moved to Sri Lanka. In his later years, he set himself to working to fight for the safety of Central African lowland gorillas. The animals were threatened because of hunters in search of tantalum, a material used in the manufacture of cell phones.
