Unlike its enormous sibling, the San Diego Comic-Con, San Francisco's WonderCon has historically been a smaller convention focusing more on comic books than other pop-culture media. As cons grow in popularity, though, WonderCon is seeing its fair share of cosplay (fans dressing up in costumes modeled after their favorite comic, game, or movie characters), movies, and anime, as well as growing attention given to manga and other forms of sequential art storytelling.
