Erected in 1889, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, is said to have been the highest construction in the world until New York's Chrysler Building came on the scene in 1930.

The original is 300 meters tall and required over 5,300 drawings, 18,038 pieces and 2,500,000 rivets.
