The Arabian Nights, also known as The Book of One Thousand and One Nights, is one of the most famous story collections in world history. Assembled around 800 A.D., it gave us the legends of Sinbad the sailor, Aladdin and The Wonderful Lamp, and Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.

Booby-trapped magic caves? Michael Knight (played by David Hasselhoff in Knight Rider) and his trusty steed K.I.T.T. would make short work of them through a routine application of surveillance mode and a grappling hook. Maybe that's why the seminal Arabian Nights gets a shorter Wikipedia entry than the mid-1980s TV show featuring a talking car equipped with turbo boost and, in the fourth season, Super Pursuit Mode.

Here are the word counts for some pairs of Wikipedia entries on books and some related terms:

Arabian Nights: 3,581
Knight Rider: 12,044

Robinson Crusoe: 2,015
Lost (the TV series): 6,914
