To go along with Eyebeam's art-tech mission and the Celebrity Media Mashup theme of the night, each guest at the party was given a "digital social-networking device" developed at Eyebeam using nTag badge technology. They were programmed with the guest's name, and when two badges came in contact with each other, they registered that the two holders had "met" and the names were stored in the devices. The more people you "met," the higher your "fame quotient" for the party would be.
