Anderson's work was inspired by the de Young Museum's Hudson River School paintings, which are mid-19th century American paintings of landscapes in upstate New York. This pair of images shows Niagara Falls from its left, American side and from its right, Canadian side. Each image is made up of approximately 12 tourist snapshots, Anderson says.
