A significant change under the covers is how Fedora deals with printers. The software is designed to do a better job detecting printers when they're plugged in, installing the appropriate driver automatically, and informing users as the process proceeds. Red Hat developed the software, but it showed up earlier in the latest version of Ubuntu, a Fedora rival sponsored by start-up Canonical.
