In the first spot, Seinfeld and Gates discuss edible computers of the future over a couple of churros. Ultimately Seinfeld asks Gates whether Microsoft is ever going to come out "with something moist and chewy like cake." Seinfeld asks Gates to give him a sign, like adjusting his shorts, if the answer is yes. Gates gives a wiggle in the affirmative.
The first ad left many scratching their head. In a poll of CNET News readers, 54 percent of 1,655 voters said Microsoft should ask the ad firm for a refund. About 25 percent found the ad funny, but agreed that doesn't make Vista any better. And about 21 percent liked the ad and felt it made Microsoft look cool.
