Pictures: Tech turns to prediction markets

At a micro-conference held at Yahoo's headquarters in Sunnyvale, Calif., representatives from Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard described their experiments with prediction markets.

HP, for its part, found that its prediction market software was more accurate in forecasting operating profits for the HP Service division than its traditional method.
