On Wednesday, Popular Mechanics magazine will unveil its annual "Breakthrough Awards" issue. The awards go to innovators and innovations that are making big leaps forward with technology that helps people in their daily lives. Among the winners this year are Electronic Arts' Spore, Amazon.com's Kindle, Livescribe's Pulse Smartpen, and Intel's Atom processor.
