Several designers from ISDA developed a wristband, the Sensix Allergy Alert System, that monitors a child with severe allergies and can alert parents when he or she has had a reaction. It also tells parents which medicine is needed and where the child is located when the reaction hits. The wristband works in conjunction with proposed food-labeling standards that would use colors and graphical icons on packaging to notify buyers of allergens.
