The Intel Mobile Clinical Assistant fills many of the needs the medical industry has been wanting for years. It's a portable, wireless computer for storing and processing patient information. It includes a bar-code scanner to scan patient wristbands, medicine bottles and IV bags to reduce medication-dispensing errors and record procedures. And it has a digital camera to supplement patient charts and progress notes. The device has received praise in clinical trials.
