In addition to accessing clean water, transporting it is a taxing chore for many rural people. The Q-drum enables 50 liters of water to be rolled down the road rather than hauled by hand or vehicle. The polyethylene container is secured by a replaceable rope, lacks breakable parts and is designed for both children and adults to use without excessive physical strain. The doughnut shape enables many Q-drums to be stacked safely atop each other for compact storage.
