Photos: Start-ups vie for best 'elevator pitch'

Judges David Epstein, a partner at Crosslink Capital, and Claudio Chiuchiarelli, from Banyan Securities, were among the 12 venture capitalists questioning finalists as they pitched their ideas for the 2006 International Business Plan Competition here at the University of San Francisco. Business proposals ranged from an early detection system for breast cancer and a high-powered nanocarbon battery for laptops and PDAs.
