Boden was born in the U.S. to British citizens, grew up in Southport, England, but attended high school in Philadelphia. It was the Tandy TRS80 that first got him interested in computers.

Boden made the leap to the security world as a project manager leading the security portions of the Windows 2000 rollout inside Microsoft.

"I found I enjoyed the challenges and pace of the security function much more than deploying software, and the people were interesting too," says Boden.
