Gateway launches $50 referral program

Gateway on Monday announced a program that gives a credit payment to PC customers when they refer a friend to the company to buy a computer. The program, Gateway Unlimited, gives $50 to people who have bought a Gateway PC this year for each additional person that they convince to buy a desktop or notebook computer from the Poway, Calif.-based direct PC seller.

The referral payment comes in the form of a credit that can be used toward future Gateway purchases, including various digital devices and accessories. "Gateway enjoys the highest repurchase brand loyalty in the PC business, and this unique offer puts (the customer's) Gateway loyalty to work for us while benefiting them, too," Gateway senior vice president David Turner said in a statement.
